Tom's last post helped get me thinking. Why is it that we have orientation sessions at all anymore? When we're moving libraries so they can meet patrons where they are why do we still have this monument to the monolithic library? How much more convenient would it be for most users that we have a good online orientation with some video tours and even a downloadable mp3 file for taking a library tour on an iPod?
